Chris O'Neill, known by his internet alias OneyNG, is a lets-player, for his series Youtube and various collaborations with other animators. He frequently appears on SleepyCast and contributes animations and other media on the SleepyCabin website.
He, along with Niall are the only "True Irish" members of SleepyCabin, as both were born and grew up in Ireland. Chris moved from Ireland to the United States after creating the Hellbenders series with his friend and fellow SleepyCabin member Zach Hadel.
Role in SleepyCabin[]
Chris is one of the more comically-natured members of SleepyCabin, normally playing along in the crude discussions instigated by Cory or Zach and often starting them himself. He also tends to follow suit with Niall in telling "Irish stories."
Chris is notable for being one of the more analytical members of SleeyCabin as well, often harshly criticizing movies, television shows and video games that he greatly dislikes. Chris also doesn't hold back in pointing out the idiocy of other's, exemplified when he put Niall on the spot after he denied getting his money stolen by a woman he met on Tinder.
Chris sometimes enjoys mocking Jeff's cynicism and mannerisms, much to the latter's annoyance and occasional amusement.
Trivia[]
- Though born in Ireland, Chris actually hates to visit it, especially Dublin. His reasoning for this being that every time he goes there, "shit happens," including one time when he was punched in the face by a random bystander for questioning a marijuana dispensaries storefront decorations. He also adds his reason for hating Ireland being that it's a boring country.
- While in secondary school, Chris had to learn how to speak Irish (Gaeilge), and only remembers how to say "Can I go to the bathroom, please?" in Irish. He says he hated the class because Irish is, in his words, "the most dead language."
- Chris claims the first time he felt the sensation of an orgasm was in a public pool when he was 8 years old, after putting his groin against a jet-stream in the pool.
- The stories that Chris (along with Niall) share during the SleepyCast are often referred to as "Irish Stories", meaning that their stories start off simplistic and normal at first, but usually involve unnecessary or random details that do not drive the story at all that confuse, listeners and other members of SleepyCabin.
- In addition to his animation channel, Chris also runs a gaming channel called OneyPlays.
- Chris's favorite video games of all time are Final Fantasy VII and Dark Souls.
- When he was younger, Chris experienced testicular torsion, having to go to the hospital to get it fixed.
- Chris, along with Niall, is uncircumcised and frequently argues to the superiority of foreskin (most notably with Zach and Stamper, who are circumcised).
